My friend Jim Garner (wedding shooter, lecturer, WPPI winner and one of BigFolio's featured shooters), has a new camera bag. It's cool and I can't wait to get my hands on one. Check it out at
GoBoda. The website is cool, too. Thumbs up for BigFolio on the site.

I desperately need a bag. Do you know what the inside looks like? Do the lenses go in pockets?

Yay! Jim was super cool. Met him at WPPI.
The Boda looks tasty!

This looks like a great bag. My first thought was "Nooooooo!" not another flap on top! I hate those flaps that get in the way, then I saw that it tucks out of the way. Nice.
Cheers,
Zack

Ditto -- it looks like exactly what I would have designed so I ordered one. Hope it is as cool as it looks.

I got to meet Jim at WPPI ... cool dude. I wish I could seem of the bag, though! Maybe I'm dense too, but I couldn't find any pics of the inside or how it works.
The price tag is steep, but if it's big enough for a body or two and about 3 lenses, all without looking like a dorky camera bag (it looks cool), then I'm in.
Crumpler hit a home run with the $7 million home, too.

It's just a lens bag. Nice, but expensive. The website shows it pretty clearly.
I rarely need to change lenses while I'm in the midst of shooting - that's why I have three bodies.

It's slick, but $200 is high. If it were $100 I'd get two

I saw where it showed the outside clearly - but didn't see any pics of the inside. I'm assuming it is not just one big space inside. It states it is a lens bag - so I'm wondering what holds the lenses and what size lenses it will hold.

Well I think the crumpler is.. i think the Boda is nice but not my style . I would rather have a bag that fits all my need rather than one that fits a lense and few other goods. And for $200 bucks... Yikes!! is it made in the USA?

Hi Jill,
I don't have one in hand yet, but it looks like it has a divider between the two lens spaces and then an divider for in between lenses in one space. It looks like a 70-200, 24-70 and 16-35 that goes into the bag. Big lenses.

The Crumpler looks cool, too. I paid $130 for a belt system that I don't really like that much (works fine, but I think I look like I want to be Batman). However, everyone has different tolerances for what they will pay for different items. I know women that pay $1000 for a little black purse to hold their...well, to go with their outfit! I routinely see shoes that are $$$$. They way I know they cost that much is the name on the shoes when they are off of their feet. Not that I would dare compare shoes to a camera bag, that would be sacrilegious to many women! $200 for something functional is pocket change, right?

200 is a lot for a bag that isn't even leather. How do you carry it? It's a cool bag, just too much $$$.

I have been stalking the website waiting for the chance to see it and the site is great. The Animation seems to clearly show it. Cory, thanks for posting about it a while back. It was your post in a thread about bags that brought it to my attention.
I agree with Jim and Zack, it looks like what I would design given the chance and has all the bells and whistles, but doesn't try to solve all the worl'ds problems in its design. Jim designed a bag to serve a very specific purpose and staid the course.
My order is going in now. I had been looking at the Shootsac and even considered converting a small TimBuk2 (both great companies with great designs) but it just didn't feel right for me. The Boda design does.
My order is going in as soon as I can get to the site.

It is a lot of change but it is a niche bag with a specific market and does not have the reach and scope and Chinese sweat shops that Tamrac / Tenba / Domke / et. al have. Know what I mean? Not as many will be sold. Maybe one day it can come down in price but until then, it is a "designer" bag so to speak.
Cheers,
Zack

I would have considered it if it could have done 3 lenses horizontally, but stacking lenses and using them while shooting is tooo slow.
Since neither this or the shootsac were exactly what we were hoping and waiting for,
we made our own

Yeah. That does seem to be what the shootsac has over this one. But they're both really cool and there's a market for both of them.

Colorful, light and simple shootsac for girls - black, gadgety Boda bag for guys. Funny how that works.

this looks like something I have been looking for, rather than lugging my main bag around.
But...the price...He should give a discount for pre-orders or something. I might buy 2. But $400 + shipping for 2 bags is awfully expensive for this.

hmmm... when I go to the purchase page, there is a discount for preorders until May 1st.
15% off- I hope you see it too

It does look tempting, I was looking for something that goes around my waist- just easier for me.

It looks like it could be a perfect bag IF there were a couple of slots or pouches for camera bodies. Because even if you use only one body, it would be nice to put everything away after shooting. Price is steep, but not outrageous. Just my $.02.

Got my bag today.
My hopes were realized! It is much cooler than it looks!!!
I haven't used it yet, but I am looking forward to using it. There are so many (dozens) freaking cool compartments and places to store things (e.g. cf cards), lens clothes, batteries, etc...
I am looking forward to my next shoot just so I can use this bag!!!

I HAVE used my new Boda bag and am SO glad I bought it so I could get it in the first shipment and start using it! Used it 2 days after I picked it up in person (what a beautiful office they have) and felt instant relief from having my gear strapped over my shoulders in my storage bag. The weight distribution around my waist is so much better for my poor aching back that that alone is reason enough to rush your order. With all the mini compartments I couldn't ask for more.
