Ok, this is the wedding of two of my best friends, and they are the funniest cutest couple alive. This was my first somewhat "destination" wedding, or more so a wedding I got to do out of the state I live in. I was a nervous wreck! Photographing a wedding is one thing but having to keep track and remember to have everything for a plane trip on top of that is nuts... Anyway I left sunny 90º Arizona and stepped off the plane in Denver to find it to be 30º and snowing outside... I had brought no coat... So long story short the day of the wedding it's FREEZING outside and a gloomy blizzard as well. So all my wonderful outdoor Colorado photographs were out the door. So I ended up having to take ALL the photographs inside the church (because their getting ready, wedding, and reception all took place there and they didn't want to leave to go anywhere else) with the flash. And this is not a pretty church mind you... think Tin can with no windows. Then halfway through the getting ready pictures my brand new equipment starts breaking and things start disappearing I basically snapped and almost had a nervous breakdown right then and there... So my hubby took my hands, we said a prayer and asked Jesus to take over. And he sure did, I'm still in amazement of some the photos we got under the conditions we had. THANK YOU JESUS... You are the best photographer ever!

Yeah, I found some fun colored walls in the kid's church/nursery area, so we took most of the pictures in there, plus it was one of the only spots with a ceiling low enough to let me bounce my flash a little bit.

Oh and the wedding was in Centennial (I think) / Parker Colorado, just outside of Denver.

Wow - Jesus has a good eye for colour.

Did he have trouble with the controls on the new DSLR? I heard after what they did to him with that cross buggered his thumb tendons and he has issues with the scroll wheel.

I heard that Jesus was a pilot but this is the first time I've heard that He was a photographer as well! I guess He is the original painter of light. heheh

Whoa sweet...I looked at the EXIF data from one of those and it was taken September 30th 2006! I think we're closing in on the end of the ghosties!!

I trully believe what happened between you and God and photos are just stunning! It happened to me once before on 9/11 when God took over my camera and produced the photos I am most proud of. I don't remember taking most of those photographs.
Thank you for sharing with us. This is a great reminder to me.
