Full Version: Brand Spankin' New!
OpenSourcePhoto > Who We Are :-) > All about You :-)

Hi y'all!! I'm brand new to OSP and have lurked for about a week at some of the most outstanding and fun photograpers out there! This forum is unlike any other I've ever been too and I've enjoyed reading and getting the jist of things around here and have already soaked in so much information.

I'm just starting out portfolio building for real (literally as in Sunday was my first session), even though I've been shooting for the past 8 yrs, it's always been just a hobby taking second place to designing children's clothing.

I'm a tad afraid to put myself out here with so many awesome photographers in one spot...but one can only learn..RIGHT? You guys don't seem TOOO scary LOL....just a tad intimidating to a newbie. For me that's good, something to reach for!:)

I'm a wife of almost 10yrs and mom to 4 kids all of whom I home school (for now LOL)...currently residing in GA but in the process of selling our house and moving back to NH where my DH is from, and that is where I'll go full force into business.

Welcome! I'm barely keeping things together managing my biz & 2 kids (who are public schooled) & I definetely don't have time/energy to design clothing on the side--lol! I admire you already!!

Welcome to OSP.

Ever thought about marketing your clothing to photographers? You could probably charge eight times more if it's for "photographers."

We're always looking for stuff for our portrait customers.

Matt..around the Londonderry area (well so far, we haven't found just the right property as of yet)..but trying to stay in Rockingham county.

Julie...I sell on mainly on feebay now and then...and have dropped off quite a bit lately as it's oversaturated with consumers who want copyright character stuff instead of more couture styling. I started a website eons ago but never finished as I knew I wouldn't do that the rest of my life....you can look at my ME page on ebay to see some stuff I've done my ID is jzcustoms.

LOL guys..DH=Dear or D*mn Husband depending on the mood..sorry I've been on Internet chat/bulletin boards/forums etc for over 12 yrs now and forget not everyone has smile.gif...

Adam.. I've sold things to quite a few photographers, mostly during my Halloween stint from July through October....I don't ever have a plan to market them though as quite frankly the reason I've kept designing is in order to do the shoot at the end of the final product. I also only design one of a kind outfits and don't do duplicates...and the amount of time that goes into each one of them I rarely broke even in time wink.gif

Thanks for the welcomes...that was one of my LOVES about this forum...the KINDNESS and overall group feel rather then cliques here and cliques there....THANKS!!

K.C.
Welcome Jamie.

Cool...that is about an hour from where I live. We might start up a local OSP group some time. As far as I know, there are are only three OSPers from NH...including you (when you get here) and myself. smile.gif There are more in Maine and a few in MA as well.
