Full Version: EMERGENCY BRIDGE HELP!!911!
OpenSourcePhoto > YA wanna FIGHT! > RAW vs. JPEG

I need help. I finished up doing a destination wedding processing my RAW files in Bridge and ARC. No problems there. I had two engagement sessions that I started on today, and all of a sudden, I can use the image processor in PS. Say's a major problem happened. I tried this on two computers and it did it on both. The files are from two different cameras, so I don't think the cards are bad. We I open them up the first time they are NEF files. IF I purged the cache they are no longer NEF files that can be reconizerd. I tried to open the up in ACDsee afterwords and they can't reconize the files. I am at my wits end trying to figure out how to get them to JPEG. I have tried many times, I still have the originals on the cards. I have uninstalled PS. I can't figure out why all of a sudden out of nowwhere this would happen. Anyone have any ideas? thanks for any help.

Mine just quits for no reason and no one could figure it out. I get that message "sorry something major happened and I can't continue. Would you like to see more info?" I have to quit PS all together and restart it for it to work again. Seems like it only happens when I convert to jpeg, not when I convert to tiff.

You may have to modify the script file doc #322888
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase...x.cfm?id=322888
They told me to try this before doing a reinstall.

Solution 1: Deselect Convert Profile To sRGB in Image Processor.
Solution 2: Modify the ConvertTosRGBProfile function in the Image Processor.jsx script. The link above will tell you how to do these.

Have you updated to Camera raw 3.7?

If so and it persists then you may have to dump PS and reinstall. I wouldn't do it with out talking to Adobe first though or someone that knows because there is a way to save all of your actions and move them fast. I didn't do it but if I do I would like to have them on the phone to walk me through it.

good luck, hope it helps.
