I have been trying to come up with ideas for a logo, thinking it would help me with color selection for my website, all the while struggling for a general idea of where I want to take my photography.

I hired a guy that was mentioned here on OSP, but didn't really have any suggestions or directions, which I'm sure made it more difficult for him. Here are a few samples he sent me for flushing out. I kinda like the second one, but really would like some input.

Lucky Red Hen
No. 2 is niiiice thumbsup.gif

The first is too squirrely and the third doesn't do it for me with the initial H (but the blue line and Herman Images is nice).

I like the second one, too.

I vote for #2 as well. It is simple and clean!

But is it #2 because it's good, or it's just the best one here?

I like it, and it's growing on me more, but I was hoping for something to blow my socks off when I first saw it and it didn't really happen. I didn't know if I should send him back to the drawing board with some other suggestions or no?

I think 2 is a great design, but if it doesn't feel like you then you may want to keep exploring options. Rebranding later is a burden, spend the time now and get what you want.

just my 2 cents.

#2 is the definitely the best out of the three. I don't think the other two are even close to competing. I'd tell him #2 was your favorite and sent him back to the drawing board and see if he comes up with anything better. #2 ain't bad if you're stuck with it though, I'd just be curious to see what else your designer has to offer.

#2 is the best of the three. The "H" font he used in #1 and #3 is too common. Hope you get something you are thrilled about. Let us know what the final result is.

I loooooove no.2!!

I think # 2 is really cool. I was studying it for a second and all of a sudden I saw a guy on one knee proposing. See it? the guy's body is the "i" the red dot is his head. Okay...so I don't drink coffee in the morning. smile.gif

I told him I liked number 2 and asked him to go in this direction, but come back with a couple more options. It's really grown on me, I think I was just in a grumpy mood yesterday. I hate when I get the summer car out and then a week later it drops below freezing again. sad.gif

#2. The others are weak.

I really like 2 a lot -- it's very unique I think, in the Indy market and you really do want to stand out!
Jonathan
No 2 is probably the best of the three. Kinda reminds a lot of of the Tommy Hilfiger
logo.

numero dos is pretty sweet man. I dig it.

#2 is solid!

I'm with everybody else--definitely #2, as long as it describes you and your style---a little edgy/hip, technical, alternative? If you're more of a "nice guy" who likes classical things and wants to reach the more traditional bride market, then #3 might be a better direction (with tweaking that is). All that said, I would go with #2 if it were me.
