Hi I'm new to the OSP, and just curious how many other Canadians are out there on the forum. It would be nice to link up with some other photographers who have info about Canadian suppliers etc. I always find it frustrating having everything shipped in from the US.

Regardless, Hi to all of you, wherever you are from! I really look forward to the knowledge and fun that this forum has to offer!

Hi Sandra, Welcome. There are quite a few Canadians around here.
As far as Canadian suppliers go, what kind of things are you looking for, equipment, labs, albums, etc.
Shannon.

Hi Shannon, I guess the main source of my frustration is albums. It would seem there is no high end print and bind company in Canada that is halfway reasonable for pricing... unless you know something I don't. I think I've pretty much decided to go with Graphistudio, I looked for a Canadian company with no success. I've started online hosting with Digilab - seems okay so far. Any other advice you have would be great!

Thanks!

Greetings from Edmonton, Sandra.

You'll find that most often it will be cheaper for you to have things sent up from the US rather than using Canadian suppliers, unfortunately.

More hellos from Edmonton... and ditto on Chris' US sentiment.

Hey Sandra, for albums I have found the same thing as yourself and the other Canadian photogs that have replied on here, it is cheaper to have things send up from the US. We have noticed this even more while we were at WPPI , and checking things out there. If I do hear of anything I will let you know.

Hi there, welcome from Chatham in Sunny Southwestern Ontario!
As far as suppliers - I still rely on White House and Vision Art for albums and prints and both are US based; as far as album suppliers in Canada, the most notable for me is Bon Match

Hi there! I'm in Canada and I'm kind of here (on the boards).

Have you looked at Bon Match for albums? To be honest I haven't printed anything with them yet, but I'm considering them. For labs, check out Pikto and GTA Photo Imaging. They're over where you are. I'm just trialing a lab called Technicare. Dunno how they are yet. I tried Digilabs.ca, but wasn't really happy with them, though I only used them for one order.
