Full Version: Trouble inserting Show It Web on my Blog
OpenSourcePhoto > GetIt > Showit Web

I saw a similar post a few days ago, but I'm not really sure what to do on my end to resolve this. I can get as far as letting showit web generate my code for me. However, when I place the code into my blog, it just comes up blank. I wasn't sure which code to put in, so I tried both to no avail. I have the slideshow up on my website, runs fine and I've gotten good feedback. Now I'd just like to put it up on my blog. Any ideas what to do? I currently use Blogger for my blog btw.

Thanks,
Jen

Jen, it sounds like the path in showit web to your show could be wrong.

I can see the show on your website fine so if your seeing just a blank black box on your blog chances are the path you have entered into the screen below before generating the including code (path has to be entered first because its basically telling your blog where the show is) is not right.

The screen below shows the path I have set up on mine, basically I have a seperate directory for each client and put the shows in there so thats the path showit web needs to post it to my blog.

So long as you have put the path in before generating the code, uploaded the show to that same path and then pasted the generated code into your blog in the HTML view, it should all work

You may have to resize it to fit properly in blogger, (i use 380 x 320 for blogger) and of course you can set that in the advanced tab under the controls menu so you dont have to make another smaller show.

You can do this in the Controls Menu Advanced Tab in ShowitWeb which is great because its means you dont have to make different ones for blogs, websites, client viewings etc.
