I was so nervous about my first solo pro wedding this past Saturday, but it went very well. The bride was awesome (and gorgeous) and even though it was raining it's a** off and we were forced to stay inside, we found some really cool places in the hotel. CC welcome and appreciated!

My favorite "couple" picture of the event:

A big shout out to Jenny (CL Park) for coming with me. She's shot a lot more weddings than me and came up with some awesome ideas for portraits.

More on my blog.

Hi Karen,

Congrats on your first Pro wedding! Exciting? I bet!

#1 is awesome. love the use of light . awesome details.
#2 I know it's supposed to be a silhouette of her, and if you told the bride to turn her head just a bit more you could of gotten her profile which would make the photo way more appealing.
#3 Awesome shot. Add a bit more contrast and you've got a perfect ring shot.
#4 Awesome awesome awesome. I love that fact that you crouched down to take this shot. But then again, I think I can still see you taking the shot from the reflection on top. That can be easily fixed with the clone tool.

Awesome images and thank you for sharing!

Looking GREAT! Way to save the wedding day (with the rain).

Have you tried to take your reflection out of the ring shot???

Just my two cents---

Great work!

Karen,

I am so excited for you!! You did a great job. Rain is no fun, unless you are playing in it!

Isn't it nice to have your first wedding under your belt and know that you survived. So cool that Jenny was able to 2nd for you, too.

Funny you mention that. That was another big reason to bring Jenny with me. I knew I was going to have to take a break between the getting ready and the ceremony to do my mommy-duty, so I wanted to make sure that someone was there.

And he's huge - at six months, he's in 12 month clothes! And he's scooching across the floors now, so I now have 3 moving ones (with very little common sense to accompany the transportation knowledge laughing.gif ) This year is going to be exhausting and exhilirating and I can't wait.
