I bought a Vista computer when they first came out. Well I had so much truoble with it that I had to take it back to compusa and convert it back to an xp. With that done, it deleted all the programs that came with the computer.
So far I have been ok, I have backed up to external and such.
Now I would like to clean off some of my external drives by burning the keepers sessions to dvd. When I tried this morning it doesnt work, it keeps saying " windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this folder. What do you want windows to do? Then the options are retry or skip or cancel."
I think my dvd burner software that came with my VISTA is gone when I took Vista off. How do I put one back on and is there any free programs available or am I screwed and have to buy one and if so which one do you recommend?

Thanks for help,
joji

So if you are running XP again, unfortunately, there is no dvd burning capabilities without using 3rd party software. It probably thinks you are trying to burn a CD instead of a DVD.

I use both Macs and Windows machines, and if using Vista is not an option, i recommend Easy Media Creator

good luck!

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I will look into that software. Sucks that I have to pay.... smashpc.gif I already had to pay $130.00 to take off vista on a brand new computer.

THANK YOU!!!! clap.gif thumbsup.gif
I downloaded it and worked great. I am so happy that I did not have to pay for one. I love this forum and the wealth of knowledge available.

Thanks again!!
