Thanks to OSP, I wasn't out in the cold in Vegas. Due to a little mix up with the guy that booked our rooms, I didn't have a room for the first night I flew in for WPPI. I was fine the other nights, but when the guy said "oh, sorry I forgot to tell you that I couldn't get you a room for Saturday night" within 20 hours of my landing in Vegas, I was a little worried. Most of my friends were not flying in until Sunday. I tried every possible website to get a room: priceline, orbitz, hotels.com, kayak, cheaptickets, the list goes on and on, and unless I wanted a 5-star suite for $600 a night, there was no room in Vegas to be had because of March Madness! I I started making a couple of calls and sending out some emails, and due greatly in part to OSP, I found a cozy bed. The community here is so strong and supportive...even towards me whose postings number in the single digits, I think. The photography community is super strong in general...I want to thank all of you that rallied and not only found me a place that first night, but the calls came flooding in with support and multiple offers. Even though I had found a place with the Izatts, dozens of calls came in with places to stay. A huge thanks to Dustin Izatt, Regina Holder, Shane Snider, Bruce Mayhill, Nathan and Amber Holritz, Mike Colon, Christobal Perez, Sean Azul, and many others for hooking me up, offering their rooms, or showing their support!
