Well, she did it! On March 30, 2007 at 11:25 PM central time, Crystal gave birth to Brayson Cade Goss. He weighs 3 lbs 14 oz. He and Crystal are doing great. Brayson is naturally in the NICU at the moment, but other than a little oxygen help (which is completely normal), he is doing great. He even came out screaming his little conehead off!! We're both beat at the moment, so I'm making this short; but we want to genuinely thank everyone for your prayers and concerns. We love you all and will be posting pictures soon!!

Congrats you two!!! That's sooooo awesome! Glad to hear things are going well -- he's at a good weight -- they told us w/ our daughter that 4 pounds was the "go home" weight. So he just needs to start breathing room air and eating fine and you'll have him home! Should be just a few weeks. Yay!!!

(Okay, back to my sabbatical...wait, Crystal, you just had this baby early to get me to cheat on my Lenten sacrifice, right? LOL just kidding...)

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE PICTURES! If he gets some time under the "grow light" (the phototherapy light), be sure to get some pictures -- they look sooooo cool under the black lights.

BTW -- my wife wanted me to give this advice...

1.) Let the hospital pamper you, too.
2.) Don't hesistate to let the NICU staff take care of Brayson as much as you want to get involved w/ changing diapers and such...you need to get plenty of rest so that you can be ready for the big changes that will occur when he comes home.
3.) You can certainly call to chat w/ Maria (my wife) if you have any kind of NICU mommy questions.

Hi, Everone!

Wow - thank you all so much for all of the encouraging words and sweet responses! We appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I can't tell you how great it was when I was feeling better for Jeremy to read all of the responses to me. You guys really put a smile on my face at a really tough and challenging time! I never want to do 4 days of labor EVER again, but I am so happy for my little boy to be here and doing well! The past week is one big blur, and I'm sure the next couple of weeks will be the same way. I will pretty much be making the hospital my home away from home until my baby gets to come home. I will be trying to get on OSP every now and then, but you won't be seeing too much of me for a while. Jeremy has done a great job keeping my blog updated lately, and we will continue to update it with the latest on Brayson....and with PICTURES! I love you all so very much!!!! Thank you all again so much! I wish I had time to write more.......to better put this whole experience into words.....but we are off to the hospital again!
