Hey OSP,
Just thought I'd post some pictures of my new illuma guestbook. I like them. The picture quality is good enough for me. I haven't seen a asukabook so I don't know what to compare them to, but they are better then blurb. Way better. The pages are nice; stiff and sturdy. My only beef is that it seems a little hard to open, and the dust cover was a little akwardly folded. I refolded it and it turned out ok.

Check them out. This is the 6x9 book.

I've been using these for a while now. Here's a picture of one of mine at a wedding I did a few days ago.

People really like them! I pretty much always use the 8x12 size....

I am really interested in starting to use them. They look really sweet, just wondering what you guys are charging for the 8x12 books, and are you ordering the basic 20 pages or more?
I think I just need to order a sample all ready.

Are you doing the layouts yourself in Indesing/photoshop. The layout you used in that shot is not available to me online. Also do you know if you can put all of the signable pages on the right hand pages and all the photos on the left hand paper, or do you have to alternate them so all the signable pages are back to front on the same pages. Does this make sense?

I am currently charging cost of product times 5. If I were to do design on these it would cost a bit more. But right now I am just using the online layout system for the one that I did. It is really easy.

Thanks so much for posting these. I love your images within the book too! I really wanted to see a sample and just received their information in the mail today! Thanks again!

I use these all the time, and I love them. I have two new ones coming soon in which I actually designed the lined sides as well, instead of using their lines. I make all my designs in photoshop or YSI before I upload them as a full bleed design. I number my pages 00 - whatever and use their auto-fill, full bleed feature. I can upload and order these books in just the time it takes the site to upload them.

Did you know you can order these books with the photo-cover as well? That way you dont have to worry about the PITA dust jacket. You can order the dust jacket as well if that is something you like, but with the photo-cover there's really no need for it IMO.

Hey guys - I've been working on designing a few photo "guestbooks" and I have just left white space for people to sign (kind of like signing a mat) - has anyone tried this - do you like it? Sorry if this is a threadjack - feel free to ignore. smile.gif

Hey Stacey,

I do this, too. I have options for couple of either an Asukabook or the WHCC new press printed book. I let them choose. I just leave space or fade images to allow for signing and a metalic pen can be used on black pages. It's up to the client, their style and their budget.
