It is funny when you read about people seen there work on TV or print and completely amazed about it. Well, I bought a diffuser type thing from Gary Fong, I liked the results I saw on the web. The order came the next day but it was missing an item. I called the number on the box and guess who picks up the phone, Gary Fong himself. I was so shocked that he was on the other phone I was a idiot trying to talk to him. This is the guy who gets 100K+ for a wedding, all I could say over and over was "This is Gary Fong" all he could do was to continue to laugh. Really, Really nice guy I was glad to be able to stutter in his presence. biggrin.gif

Yea, I love this -- especially finding public figures who are down-to-earth!

I emailed Steve Jobs (Apple) a few years ago and spoke with his personal assistant the next morning and a few times that following week.

I was dumbstruck that he/she really responded. smile.gif

That's awesome! What did you ask?

That's awesome! Next time he answers...ask him if we all could stay at one of his many resort/homes for like a week for an OSP shindig at a discounted rate! tongue.gif

Hi Jerome!
You didn't stutter! I heard you say the words wow perfectly!
Just for the record, the $120k fee is my fee yes, but I am not actively trying to solicit weddings.

Hi,
I have never been to your forums until tonight. They are cracking me up. I keep telling Gary to come look because the stuff about the LS2 is just so funny. Then the one about the phone call yesterday. SO FUNNY! But you all must know that he is totally just a normal guy. In fact today we went to the mall because I had enough of the outfits he was putting together. I made him buy some great stuff from Express For Men and of course he was crying about it the entire time. He kept saying..."this shirt is itchy and I look like a 3rd grader" LOL But it looked so good on him I told him it was a must. Then while I was looking for his size in the jean section I see him moon walking across the floor like Michael Jackson after he put on this really cool sports jacket. It was so embarrassing!!!! He was doing moves that I had never seen before. It was like a new man came out from within him (well actually he acts goofy all the time) But it was as if the sport jacket turned him into turbo dancer....he was sliding all over the store. Everyone was looking at him laughing.

Oh and the reason I knew it was time to take him shopping was because of what happened last night. We went to the comedy club here in LA where Jay Leno tells his jokes every Sunday night...the comedian there last night made a funny comment about Gary. He said "Men just don't know how to dress" then he looked right at gary and paused for a few seconds. Gary was wearing gym shorts, tennis shoes, a shirt that totally didn't match and of course his orange hat. Just what a guy should wear on a Friday night date! LOL It was darn funny.

Anyway I will continue to keep up on your forums. They are great!

LOL...you know that looks about right! Only a bit more sliding across the floor!!! HA HA
Last night I was up at 3am by myself laughing out loud thinking about him dancing in the store. It was just so funny. I really wish I had a small video cam with me at all times.

I've had a few questions for Steve over the years and considered writing him a letter and slipping it in his mailbox to ensure that it wasn't snagged by an assitant. Something about 'invasion of privicy' stopped me short [insert sheepish grin smiley here] or something like that.

That's pretty funny! I'm so celebrity-inept that I tend not to recognize people even after someone has pointed them out to me. And even after they point them out, I could probably have a complete conversation with them and still not realize that they are that lady who played that character in that movie about that guy. However, have someone like Mr. Jobs, or Mr. Buffet, or that Branson fellow pick up the phone, and I can't say that my speech wouldn't be spotty...

Since most of ya'll live in Cali...do ya'll occassionally spot movie celebs?

The furry guy on the right is a movie star (his name is Angel -- he was the ring bearer):
