Scott Kelby's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom book is now available through Amazon.com - I just got the email with all of the Photoshop World books. If you're interested in seeing what other books were on the Photoshop World list let me know. I just picked this up. (click on the book cover if you want to order it)

For real - I'm sure this is the FIRST book on the subject from Kelby not the ONLY one but for those needing a Lightroom jumpstart, I'd definitely start here.

+1. If Kelby wrote it, you can bank on it being solid "get started quick" info.

One thing I like so much about LR though is it's a pretty self-explanitory program. It doesn't seem to hide many features if you just drop down the menus. If Scott dives into stuff in this book that isn't obvious just looking at the app - let us know.

I couldn't wait for Kelby's book so I went ahead and got Evening's (I think that's his name) anyway looks good so far! From what I understand Kelby's book won't be out until at least mid-April per B&N, yeah, just couldn't wait.

Hey Matt, Do you use lightroom? I'm not sure if Lightroom is in the new CS3 or I will need to purcahse both softwares to have both.

This stuff is so beyond me I need to ask the experts! (Like you) biggrin.gif

I am trying to buy some programs this weekend and I just need to know if I should do both or just CS3

Help Please!

Okay, a friend of mine was at a Photoshop conference last week and just now handed me [i]The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Book for digital photographers." I am looking at it right now.... It has an entrire chapter devoted to Wedding/Portrait workflow in LR!

I think I need to call in sick to work just so I can go play with LR!!!!!!

(problem is: I am already at work... maybe I'll just take the book into the "reading room" with me.... see ya in a few hours.....) laughing.gif

Thanks for the tip Matt! I'll have to order that book. I wonder if they have it at the NAPP store. I just got lightroom last week, and it is still in the box!

FYI, there's a bunch of new features coming in 1.1, so you may want to hold off on the book.

1.1 upgrades are almost always free with any application. 1.1 1.2 1.3, etc. are considered minor upgrades. 2.0 is where you pay again (typically).

I'm testing 1.1 now, but they haven't given a release date.
