Don't worry, I just took delivery of my 17" MBP, so it should be...tomorrow or very soon. rolleyes.gif

Are there even any good screenshots of it available?

I've just heard "spring of 07" which technically could be anytime up till June.

We're all waiting for it! smile.gif I'm betting at some point in May.
Matt Yeaton
I was wondering about this too. The website does say spring '07 and spring only started last week. smile.gif I'm saving for a 20"iMac, but I've heard (online) that the iMacs may be replaced or something. Anyone else heard that? I can't wait to make the switch from PC to Mac!!!
Chris Humphreys
Yep. iMac should be getting an update soon, and supposedly a big one so I'd hold off till that happens.

Here's a great Mac guide to product cycles so you can know when's a good time to upgrade.

Thanks Chris. I'm glad I don't have all my cash saved yet, because if I did, it would be even harder to wait knowing there may be a major update to the iMacs. I hope it comes out within the next two months!!!

For some reason I thought July. Hmm. Maybe it'll be sooner than I expected.

The unofficial rumor is the 3rd week of June.
Chris Humphreys

That sounds kinda right.

here's the latest from Infinite loop:

About Leopard: this year, the summer solstice will occur on June 21 at 18:06 UTC. So if Apple wants to release Leopard in the "spring" and maintain a modicum of face, that's their deadline. But if Steve Jobs is going to use this year's World Wide Developer's Conference as a platform for launching the iPhone while ignoring Leopard and the Mac, much like he did at MacWorld Expo in January, he'd better bring some backup power for the RDF generators; only an extra dose of the reality distortion field will make the developers (and much of the public at large) swallow such a thing. So I think that Apple will either unveil Leopard before WWDC after all, or the iPhone will have to take the back seat to Leopard at WWDC. It could be another few weeks after WWDC until we have the cat in our hands, of course.

Update: I read the AppleInsider report incorrectly, they say that Citigroup expects a Leopard release on June 11 and that the iPhone "will follow the launch of Leopard in 'late June.'" However, this contradicts earlier rumors.

Maybe it is just a huge conspiracy!!!

I think this makes more sense, personally. I think Leopard will have features that integrate with iPhone so it wouldn't make sense to release the iPhone first.

Sorry to burst your bubble folks.
We finally released the news today.

BUMMER!!! But it will be worth the wait. I'd rather see a well-developed operating system rather than a LAME EXCUSE for an OS (aka Vista) LOL
Chris Humphreys

I just wish they'd release Time Machine. I was really waiting for that to introduce into our workflow.

How will you use that in your workflow?

Chris Humphreys

Time Machine is a super cool backup software built into OS X.

We're running a RAID 0 in our Mac Pro and it would be great to be able to use that to back up to an external hard drive at night. I can still do it without the program, but I think Time Machine will make it a bit easier.
