Hey gang... i'm new to this forum, but i've been around a while. I have been a user/beta tester of Photo One for several years now (going on 10) I have set up a couple of other studios on it even. I like the system but as of 2 years ago i've gone back home to MAC. (save the fighting about that for the other threads) Anyway, Just curious if anyone out there has suggestions for a Mac compatable/based studio mangament software package.

I am also in limbo with this. The Holritz couple, Amber and Nathan have an online program that is really inexpensive and it is going to be FREE for a while as they test. It is called photographersoffice.com
I use Quickbooks for my finances and am so happy with it, familiar with the program, etc. So photographers office might be good for me as it is only the portrait "to do" and scheduling stuffs, no finance mixed in. Also, it is not expensive. Successware is an investment for sure, but I know Liana loves it and many of my friends are using it and love it.
I just hate to leave the familiar environment of QB and hate to spend the money on software that may be too much for me. Check out photographersoffice.com for free and see what you think! Oh and Nathan is still working on tweaking it so if you have suggestions e-mail him. They have added a lot.

Successware is great but way toooo expensive. More expensive than Adobre Creative Suite!!!! But if you used Photo One, Successware does the same but it is much more user friendly and less complicated than Photo One.
Successware has a good lease option. You pay $299 to setup the lease then pay $49 a month (single user). If you decide to buy they will credit all your lease payments toward the purchase. The new version integreates with ProSelect. Price??? $1,495! The price of my next D200 or the 70-200VR.
I am using FirstEdge for my accounting and ical for my scheduling.

Successware is probably NOT the best option for the "I just started wedding photography 6 months ago" business. $49 a month is NOT expensive for what it does for us though.

Thanks... but as i said, i'm no newbie. Photo One is one of the best, most powerful studio management softwares around...and at about $2,000 plus a $500 year subscribtion rate it's far from cheap. it just doesn't work on a Mac. I'll look into successware a little closer. Thanks for the input everyone.

Totally - which is why I recommended Successware very strongly. I was responding to David's point about the cost. It's not bad for an established business. I didn't mean to imply that you're a noobie. Just that if someone else was reading my "successware successware successware successware successware successware" it's not for everyone.
