Wondering two things

1. Does anyone have a copy or know where I can take a look at the canon rebate form for this past fall/spring?

2. Has anyone received LESS than what was stated on the rebate form?

I know that I had purchased some canon gear and saved my moola to purchase during time of rebate. I recently got a email from canon saying they are processing my rebate and it will be sent to me soon. I did receive the rebate but it was for $15!!! Now I KNOW I wouldn't go to all this work of photocopying and cutting off the codes from the box, filling out the form etc for $15. So yeah, if I were to be able to receive a copy of the canon rebate form I can recall how much I really should be receiving from them and give them a call. I remembered making a copy of everything but I can't seem to find it now...

Yea...there's been numerous report of people who got everything back and people who only got a portion of their rebate due. I think the company Canon have handle the rebate is a bit crooked and sometimes hope that they can pull a fast one. I won't bore you with my 6+ month saga with the rebate center and canon, but yes, I had a $660 rebate and they sent me $30 after 3 months. It was a HUGE headache and took multiple calls and resubmissions. Both my lens and body info were on the same copy so there was NO WAY possible for them to lose the body information (which they said they didn't receive) unless someone tore the paper into 2 pieces and threw the body info away. About the 5th time contacting them, the guy says..."Um, I can see all your information in the computer, there's nothing missing. I'll send you the other $630 today." I asked if he was looking at the 2 resubmissions because I couldn't believe it suddenly appeared. "Nope, your original form is right here!"

Sorry for the vent...keep on them!

it's sad to hear of the problems with the canon rebates- we filed ours about a month ago, got an email about a week ago saying everything was in progress, and a couple of days ago, we got a NICE check, exactly the amount we were expecting... $945!!!!!!

we were SUPER careful with how we photocopied everything, filled everything out, etc as we had heard about these problems before, but we didn't have anything go wrong for us. we love canon!!

I am feeling so lucky! I got my check for $840 as well. I also was careful to photocopy everything that was sent to them.

Apple had a promo when I bought my macbook pro and I lost the serial thingie off of the box. They sent out a 'one time' we will give to ya anyway form and voila! The rebate appeared a couple of weeks later:)

I guess with these things it is always best to document and post it the number just in case.

I got my $660 check about 3 weeks after sending it in. I also was very careful to photocopy everything just right and I stapled the Proof of Purchase's right to the forms. I also pre-registered my rebate at the website to be sure of what I was getting.

It is unfortunate that this has to be so difficult, but stay vigilant and keep calling.
