This was definitely a change of pace for me. It was a challenge since it was my 1st time shooting for Bella Pictures as a second photog, and my first time shooting ALL jpeg blink.gif. Definitely out of my comfort zone, but I really enjoyed shooting the wedding. Critiques & comments welcome.

Reception and ceremony were held at the Ralston Hall in Belmont, California.

#9 is amazing... tomorrows clients:-)

They are much too good for what Bella pays. But you are losing some highlights (like a lot of photographers do). Was that in post-processing or do they want you to shoot so that they can use them straight out of the camera?

I really didn't do too well, these were just cherry picked wink.gif
Bella has certain settings they want you to use in camera, but these were definitely processed after they were shot. I just hand over the un-processed files to them.

Prospective clients pick their photographers based on a few cherry-picked shots on websites.

The key is to live up to their expectations by providing consistently good shots as well.

Great stuff here!

I agree, Bella's rates aren't sky high (I shoot for them occasionally as well). But it's nice to be able to fill in the odd Friday or Saturday when a wedding gets canceled or something.

Beautiful pictures. However, I think # 5, 6 and 7 are over exposed or maybe I'm wrong and its just my taste. biggrin.gif

Jason,

Great job! I'm excited to have you on the Bella Team. This is a perfect example what you do with images created while on assignment for Bella. These images rock. As for the style of toning, you're the photographer, the visual artist, and if this is the look you are trying to achieve, they look great. Sometimes it's cool to let the highlights pop. It's all a matter of taste.

Thanks for posting and keep on keeping on.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Great folio shot of the kids on the chairs!! I would be more careful shooting getting bold groom from the top angle :-)
