Why does stuff always happen before I go out of town??!!


My Powerbook G4 17" will not start. I leave for Vegas in less than 48 hrs and have to finish moving tomorrow before I do so needless to say my day is already jam-packed.

MUST have computer to give platform seminar in Vegas first thing Monday AM and leave first thing Sunday. Eeek. Thank God I'm 99% backed up (even the nightmare project I was working on all day is).


Anyone have experience with the grey screen of apple swirly death?


It's on the startup screen and won't move. I tried a reset and it did nothing. Can't find anything online

No problem!! I'm glad I could help! Another thing I just thought of. On you battery is a little button. With your battery in the computer, and the computer plugged in, push the button. If there are no lights at all, then it may have gone bad. But if you have any green lights at all (solid or flashing, one or all), then it still has life and just needs to be cycled like I explain (charge, use battery till drain, charge again, repeat 3-4 times).
