My name is Petra Hall and I live in northern Sweden, in a small town called Piteå. (If you think Piteå is a tricky word, then try pronounce my birthplace, Örnsköldsvik.) I'm married to a Canadian, Ben, who was kind enough to move here 9 years ago after we met over the Internet. We have been married 5 years in June, so I'm not sure when the 7 year itch kicks in, either we've passed it or it's ahead of us.
Anyway... we live in a nice house (not as nice as David Jay's, but nice!) together with our two Siames cats, Sam and Suzy (these two are total characters, I'll tell you more about them some day). My mom also lives with us, she moved in with us last fall, when she retired (and it's working out better than I thought!). We have no children as life decided to throw me a few curve balls. My husband works as a network technician for a company that do telephone support for Microsoft in Scandinavia (he did work as an agent for 2 years).
Me, I'm a person of all trades, so therefor I will never become a famous wedding photographer - maybe in my own town, but that's about it. I only shoot weddings on weekends and try to make ends meat in other ways as well. Not enough people here that gets married, so right now I shoot about 10 weddings a year and not for lots of money either.
So I try to earn some type of living mixing wedding photography with graphic design, translating books (from English to Swedish - mostly Scott Kelby books) and writing articles for the Swedish issue of MacWorld magazine (mostly geared towards digital photography).
Ok, so that was something about me. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
