very nice photo shop work...well done. I love the one with her back lit by some tungsten light. Great look.

Love that dress - and shot one seems to do everything the others don't quite.
suzyq111
Thank you all! Here's another one with steps! Oh and the eyes on that one was easy-peasy smile.gif it was basically the same method that i showed here smile.gif
There are a TON of ways to do things in PS, we all know that...but here's my simple way ENJOY!!

Orig BEFORE image

and after:

Now, when I shot this image, I purposely underexposed (as i do with most all my images) I knew what I wanted the final product to look like and had the image in my mind. I knew that i was going to play up the lighting and the richness of the colors...now... onto what i DID.

Step 1: Lightened up the image with a CURVES PULL (keyboard short cut: CTRL+L)

Step 2: The image itself is pretty yellow...so i COLOR BALANCED it.

Step 3: Cleaned up her undereye circles, theres a BUNCH of different methods, but i use the CLONE TOOL set to LIGHTEN with the opacity at 25%. another way is the PATCH tool, play and see which you like better

Step 4: Brightened the eyes. Dodged the whites, and sponge tooled on saturate to bring out color a bit.

Step 5: EYELASHES!!! look close on this one...set your tools to BURN with a VERY small brush (almost to a pinpoint) and go to town!!!

Step 6: Wanted a bit more softness and pop to it, so i ran the TRICOAST GLOW to it

Step 7: Now, it looks pretty good but details are details this step was her ARM...LIQUIFY BABY!!! She didn't need much, but lets' face it...we all need help

Step 8: Burned in the BG a bit to bring more attention to our lovely bride

and lastly and most could do w/o this step, but it's fun

Step 9: Big Sexy hair! bloat tool!!

and now we're done!

Thanks so much for sharing your tricks! She is gorgeous, as is your work. In the first post, I think that last one ROCKS. She looks like a prettier version of Nicole Richie, no? It's the hair, I think. Great work!

Great photos and even GREATER photoshopping - you have a great eye for edits.

Nicely done-

copied and pasted. Your technique list is going in my "how to" folder until it becomes second nature. I LOVE the pp on these photos. GOOORGEOUS!

Did you find that the second shoot was better than the first? Was she more relaxed and not as worried about the dress?
Jillian Kay

Great PS lesson! I love how you shoot a certain exposure so that you can achieve your goal image later in PS. You are a true artist!!

great job Suzy!!
Amy Martin
There's something missing between steps 6 and 7 (other than using the liquify tool on her arm). The whole photo looks brighter and her skin looks noticably different (no freckles and she's got a great glow). It looks awesome, but I'm trying to figure out what step is missing there! smile.gif
suzyq111
you're right amy! sorry! i forgot to add that I used a plug in from here http://www.imagenomic.com/pt.aspx it' calle the portraiture plugin and it freaking rocks....
Tim Co.

Just out of curiousity... does he sell this action? i couldn't find any information at all on his website about the glow action...

thanks for replying though. Also, the links that you submitted didn't work for me. It may just be my computer though.

suzyq111
