Feel free to agree with how adorable she is

She just came home this morning. I picked her up from the airport, and on my way home I was talking with a friend from WPPI (with Molly on my lap), and he was telling me how the pet market is HUGE. I joked that they should add another P to WPPI for "P"ets. He said: "Brides, Babies, and Pets, those are the most lucrative photographic markets! Any photographer who likes animals should add pet photography to their offerings! It's a big and relatively untapped market for talented photographers."
I think I may take his advice. I already have a sweet barter worked out with our new vet (I have an $800+ credit for Molly's puppy care in exchange for a session I did and some big canvases for their offices). The owner of the vet office has been pushing me to offer "doggee days" or "pet photography", saying I could put my cards out at her office and my logo on display images. I was hesititating for two reasons:
1) I wanted to get full credit for our barter, and I didn't want any marketing benefit for "Barefoot Memories" to lower the amount of my credit for Molly's puppy care (cuz I know the owner would try to negotiate with that leverage)
2) I wasn't sure I wanted to offer pet photography as a service. I already do, if clients ask, and that's fine. But I didn't know if I wanted to advertise and market that publicly. I wasn't sure if I'd like it and/or be good at it.
Now that Molly's here, though, and I've gotten her in front of my camera for a quickee session, I think I may be open to marketing at the vet office
I'll let you know how it goes!
