I need to purchase 2 or 3 more batteries for my D200. Has anyone had any luck with off-brand or have any specific recommendations for a particular off brand? Also, where did you purchase this off-brand?

Thanks.

Off brand has worked for me. I suggest getting the vert grip so you can have 2 batteries working for you. Ive photographed two full weddings with out recharging using the vert grip....not recommended!! I forgot to charge my batteries.

Whew, doubt if I could do that. I take too many pictures! My D200 batt died before the bride even came down the isle! LOL. We had been shooting a lot that morning though.

Any particular off-brand?

I made an order a few days ago, and their customer support said they will charge in the Mh-18 charger that comes with the D200. If that's not the case I will let you know in a few days when I receive my order from them.

Hey there I just ordered me some batteries from sterlingtek.com, 2 for $30 with shipping. And i must say i'm impressed. They charge in the standard charger without any problems and they last just as long. I will admit that they "feel" like they don't last as long because I pay more attention to how many shots i take, but by the numbers there's only a 15 shot difference each way. I have a D50 and i got the EN-EL3e batteries which are 1500mah and it looks like i can use the EN-EL3 batteries they have which are 1600mah and despite the fact that they don't say that they work in a D200 I can't think of any reason that they shouldn't. I'm really impressed.

Can anyone tell me where I can order these? Besides the manufacturer?

What do you mean? SterlingTek.com isn't the manufacturer they're just a reseller.
