Great post.

It's funny how the equipment lust, pixel peeping, and Canon/Nikon or Mac/PC debates draw in nerds like myself yet somehow only elicit yawns from my wife (the real photographer)...

When I was a newbie... I noticed that the other newbies always wanted better cameras and equipment... but that the guys who already had all of the good cameras and equipment were saying things like... it's not the equipment, it's the photographer. So, I concluded that having the best equipment only means you no longer have an excuse to complain about your bad technique. wink.gif

I still love my Olymus OM10... it was born the same year I was, has dust in the lenses, and it still takes purty pictures. wink.gif I'll try to post some pictures from it when I get back from Vegas!
