I had a blast shooting this great couple down in Laguna beach last week! smile.gif The first shot was with my new 85mm f/1.2 lens! PHEW...I didn't shoot with it too much because the depth of field is like the width of a blade of grass! ...but I think I'm gonna really like it for some portrait situations!
Tim Halberg
Sheesh, I was there and didn't score that good of shots... the man is good.

I've had the opportunity to hold a MarkII with an 85 1.2 lens and then with the 70-200 2.8 IS lens, and the combo with the 85mm actually felt heavier!!! That lens is a beast!!!!

Again with the dress... totally love it!

DJ,
I like your use of filters, with the 2nd, & 5th image (couple on the beach) I especially like the 6th image, that is totally awesome. Your use of composition combined with a crop makes it an extremely sweet image. wink.gif .

Cheers,
Mary Jane
Awesome shots! The couple is going to freak!!!!! The bride on the rock has a complete fashion feel to it...I love it!!

AHHHH! So, couldn't handle the 1.2?

I can't believe that I didn't see this post blink.gif

My favorites (because I couldn't just pick one) are the one on the rock and the one of them running by the water.

Very Nice David Jay

I love the fifth image (b+g on the beach)!! I especially like the fact that her garter is showing - VERY candid!
davidjay
haha...you should've seen that image before I broke out Photoshop's stamp tool!

Let's see it David... prove to us that you can actually take a not so perfect shot...
davidjay
wub.gif ahhhh...you guys are too sweet....seriously....none of my shots are even close to perfect! I actually didn't download any of my ceremony shots for the slideshow b/c Tim had some great ones so I don't have them on this computer...but remind me after we get them edited and I'll grab a few and post them up!

Beautiful! We were discussing blown-out highlights on another thread here. . .that last b&w shot is how to make it work creatively.

thanks David!

Me and Todd are really excited about this as its our first one together and our first one for either of us that will be a 2 day intensive bootcamp.

At this point we have about 4 spots left. We are tying to keep it fairly small with less than 30 people.

Thanks for growing this forum my friend, as you know I try to keep tabs on all the other forums and by far you have one of the best out ther, hands down. Keep up the good work and the awesome images as well!

Info on the seminar can be found in the NEWS section on my site: www.storybyphoto.com, Todd also links to it via his Photographers info page at www.staythisday.com.

cheers
