This year I begin marketing to seniors at some of the high schools in my area. I'm going to be making rep cards and T-shirts for my senior reps, and I had an idea for the T-shirt design, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.

I want to put the phrase "Get Shot" with a camera on the back of the shirt. How likely is it that this could be considered offensive or dangerous? (I feel stupid asking this, but after all we do live in the year 2007)

I'd say it won't go over to well... 10 years ago before school shootings it probably would fly but not it this day and age.

Absolutely NOT! Don't do it. Especially the parents (your actual buyers) are most certainly taking the dangerous (and fearful) school culture very serious.

I have to agree with the others. I wouldn't have even allowed my kids to where a shirt that said that. I do like the t-shirt idea....just needs to say something else.

How bout something like "Oh SNAP!" you know like snap shot, or some play like that, with the rest on the back of the shirt like planned.

Its a good Idea, just the wrong saying on the back.

How about "get your mug shot"?

No way. The play on words is understood among us, but it just isn't suitable in the high school scene.
The shirt idea is a cool one, but go with something else. Perhaps you could got with the whole Got Milk? campaign and go with Got Pictures?. This might work well with these guys being reps. Just a thought. This might also be overdone?!

Having actually been through a school shooting myself, I have to agree with the others and say no.

Im with the rest of the group here...I'm not even sure they would be able to wear them at school with all the crazy things public ISDs are restricting now.

Seriously everyone, thanks for the input. Only being a college sophomore and having never heard of a HS shooting or anything like that around here, all the negativity surrounding it hadn't come to mind. I love this place!
