Now, I have a problem that I cannot figure it out. I am running LR on a MAC with PS CS2. While in the Develop module I want to do roundtripping to PS and have LR stack the two images (the original RAw file and the PSd LR creates) it seems simple enough, just a check mark. But for some reason is does not always create the stack.
The image goes from LR to PS CS2, I work on the image and when done, I close and save the image to go back to LR. Right afre clicking to save the image, I get a warning from PS that says:
"The disk copy of ... was changed since you last opened or save it. Do you want to save anyway?"
I click yes and it closes the imnage and get back to LR... no stack for that image and no way to stack them manually... does anyone knows why this happens? I need and want to keep this images in a stack.
Now I am back in LR. the two images are not stacked plus I get an "exclamation" symbol next to the image that came back from PS. When the symbol is cliecked on it shows the following message:
"the metadata for this photo has been changed by another application. How should Lightroom synchronize the data?"
What other "application"? The only application used was PS during the round trip (as fas as I know).
For all that Aperture is accussed of being "complicated" or "unintuitive" I think it does a much better job iin these types of house keeping tasks... just wish it would do them faster, though. Although I understand what the warnings are telling me they don't make any sense as far indicating what is going on with the stack feature.
Does anyone here got a clue? Need some help with this one...
