I asked a co-worker (graphic designer) to help me design a logo for my business. This is what he came up with from scratch. Exposed by the Light Logo

Tell me your thoughts...be honest...what do you like or dislike. Suggestions?

I'm having him do another logo with some fancy/script font as well. I'll post that one when it is ready.

Thanks!

kneejerk reaction (which is usually what i go by) is dislike. sorry man.

i find the font too busy for my personal preference. and to be totally honest it took me some looking to figure out what the graphic was!

but cheers to you for going with a real graphic designer, its clear from your logo that this guy knows how to work and if you keep working on it you'll get some fantastic.

most of all, if you love it and feel like it screams "you", then do it, no matter what people like me say! smile.gif

I feel like it is too busy. A logo should be simple enough that it looks good in one color and is readable when printed small....

Yes, I agree with the above. I don't like it. Sorry. Simple is more.

Thanks to those who have posted so far. I like simple designs too, but I want something more than just text for a logo. I can't wait to see what my friend comes up with next. Desciding on a logo is so hard...no wonder it has taken me 5 years to finally try a little harder and have someone else do it for me. smile.gif

have seen the end of a lens used before in a few logos to represent a letter O but none with contact details written on it. surley it would have to be huge to see them. If you are going down this route I feel you are going to have to prioritise , and believe me this is not intended to insult you or your religion, between the fish sign or your website address, at the moment the fish sign is on top and you have to read the web address upside down. practically which do you want to be the easier to see?

I thought about that too. Although, if I do have the lens in my logo, it will only be this big on the entry page to my website. Once in the website, the logo is much smaller and you can't even read the text on the lens. If I decide to go with another logo, I may have my designer just give me the lens graphic with the text moved around a bit. I might just have him flip my email address so that it is still on the bottom, just right side up.

Thanks!
