One of my friends - John Shurtz - just sent me this info and I know we've had this happen quite a bit so I'm glad they're finally fixing it! I've just dealt with it b/c it's not a major issue but I'm glad it wasn't something I was doing wrong! smile.gif

DJ...or anyone this might apply to...

Here's my question...what's the difference between the Sandisk Ultra III's and the Lexar cards? Is one just labeled "professional".

This is what my other post in the other thread was trying to get at.

The SanDisk cards seem to be faster (80x vs. 133x) (I think that's the speed of the Extreme IIIs). Plus they also don't seem to have the problems that the Lexar ones are having with the Canon cameras.

For this reason, I'm thinking of upgrading to all Extreme III 2 gig cards. I'd love some feedback from anyone who uses these....

Thanks guys!
Kurt
I can't believe I missed this post! Thanks for the info DJ.

I just bought a 20d and a couple of Lexar 2 gb cards. I had my first real shoot with them last night and the one of the cards locked up 5 or 6 times. I was so frustrated!!! I had to take the lens off in order for it to work again.

I'm a little afraid to use them and miss some important shots.

smile.gif Hey Kurt! You may have been having a connection issue...I have that problem with my 70-200 from time to time and Canon just released a firmware update so hopefully this'll help!

Firmware update for Mark II's
Kurt
Thanks for the update. I updated the firmware on my 20d before my shoot over the weekend and that seemed to help quite a bit. I did still experience lockup a couple times, but not like before. thumbsup.gif
