Full Version: Photo size protocol in a thread?

Howdy OSPers,

I'm new here. I was just wondering if there is a proper size of photos to post into threads?

I see many folks are posting thumbnails that link to larger photos. I'm not sure if those are the uploaded ones or external links.

Anyways since I have a Pbase account and generally link directly to there, should I post a 800x600 photo in a thread or should I just make a thumbnail. If thumbnail is there an easy way to combine the link with the thumbnail? Seems kinda silly to create the two seperately.

Thanks for the help.

Hey Al smile.gif

Great to have ya and here is the info about using OSP's upload tool -

If you're pulling in a file that you're storing somewhere else then I'd suggest somewhere around 500 or 600 pixels max height or width simply because then people can view it without scrolling around.

Rock on!

Thanks DJ.

I'll stick to those numbers.

I'll test an image here just to make sure the linking works okay.

Thanks Chris.

DJ, it was yummy. I had to fend people off to be able to shoot it before it disappeared.
