I am trying to send out an email from my brides list from a recent brideshow. There are like 600 emails and I got them all into the to field in Outlook. When I try to send it, it returns and says that only 150 could be sent and 452 were not sent, resend in a second session. Does anyone know how to send an email to 600 recipients and have it go through or how to create it in sessions? Help!!!!

have you tried creating a mailing list? or are you insering email addresses in the address field individually. I would definately try creating mailing lists and if that doesn't, then make two mailing lists i.e. for 600 addresses where only 250 go, how about making 3 maining lists consisting of 250 recepients each and then of 100?

If you plan to send out emails on a regular basis to these addresses, I would suggest using Constant Contact. It's an online email newsletter service that is great for this type of stuff.

That's a known Outlook limitation (as designed). You have to break it up into three lists or find another way to send it.

Spam laws require your hosting company to throttle your email when you're sending emails to so many recipients at one time. There are two options to get around it: use a service like constant contact or switch to a hosting company that has a newsletter/announcement feature built into the server...We use dreamhost for our server and announcement feature and have never had a problem. If you need any help, Kolby (the wonderful husband!) said he'd be glad to help....this is all from him, i'm just the lowly transcriber wink.gif He said the server option is cheaper. Hope your fam is well...when is that baby coming????!

Thanks so much everyone for helping, I just broke it up into smaller groups of emails and it worked perfectly. The fam is doing well, the baby is coming in mid May smile.gif
