Hi everyone;

I've been desperately trying to come up with a new font for my name, which up until this point has always been my logo.
I have changed the font occasionally in the past but the black and grey has always remained constant, except when using a black background. Then I use white and grey.

This is my current logo.
It's nice, but I think it's a bit boring.

Here is one I'm considering. I really like this one a lot, but my concern is that it's not elegant enough.

My other question is do I just continue to use my company name as my logo, or should I encorporate some type of design too.

I'm thinking of this in regards to letterhead and copyright logos.
If I just use my company name, would I type out the whole name (and therefor logo) on each copyrighted image, or a shortform like "JI"

I would really appreciate any advice or recommendations that any of you have.

Thanks so much
Jen

If you want to stick with a script type font, take a look over here... There are a bunch of free ones you might want to look at!

Andrew
rowena
Jennifer, I think the typeface because it is script inherently has an elegant feel to it yet the style gives it an updated/modern look.
shelby
I would try mixing fonts. Try something not as bold for the 'images", and make it a little smaller than Jennifer.

Shelby......Would you mix the two fonts above, or something else altogether??

Ooops. I meant to reply to you too Andrew.
Thank you.
I've saved that site.

The idea to use two fonts is great. Maybe try using all caps for part too. You can play around with "flont" at veer.com and if you create an acount, you can play around with your actual text in the different fonts.

Here's another thought--closer to your original "Jennifer" font. I do like that other one though. Just wanted to offer an alternate option.

I like Emily's. It retains the traditional look of your original logo, but it's modernized (does that make sense??) clap.gif laughing.gif

also glad to send the psd....the images font is copperplate light. I've been working on my logo (and reworking and reworking) for months. I offered this suggestion because although I like the other with its two colors, I think it is good to have a logo that can make it in black and white for the non-web usage and I'm not sure I'd love that other one without the two colors... make sense?

I like the red, in the other one...and the fact that I won't have to change colours with either a black or white background.
What I love about yours is that it's similar to my old one, but edgier.
It's also really elegant, which is what I was trying to go for.

I'd love the psd...if you wouldn't mind.

Now that I see the one I came up with...it looks so amaturish!

I would love everyone else's feelings about either of those two logos.
