Full Version: Folders in Lightroom library?

Hello All,

I have until now been using Adobe Bridge. Images are transferred from my camera to my PC using the Canon EOS downloaded tool, which makes a new folder on my PC based on the date. Each day's shoot goes into it's own directory.

When I select the parent directory (the folder that contains all the dated sub-directories, and in lightroom choose "import photos at their current location", they all appear in the library, without being in subfolders. Obviously, this is not ideal.

How can I import my photos to lightroom while maintaining folders?

I have been asking the exact same question but cannot find an answer from nowhere.

OK, found it - it's the left bar, called "navigation". Click the arrow on the left edge to expose the navigation panel.
