Here's the promo in my blog

Would you take a look and let me know what you think?

And, if you think it's a cool idea, would you post a comment in my blog, just in case any dads are reading and need that extra prod?

I'll be sure to return the blog love!!!!
Jules
Oh my God!!!

Somehow I just deleted the post!

Yikes. Going to recreate it now. What a pain.

Hey Jules! I saw this on your blog yesterday and just haven't had the chance to post (and thanks for all the blog love!!). Anyways, I was telling Jason about this last night and I had mentioned "How would you even get to the fathers?" A great idea would be to put up postcards about the promotion in "men-friendly" places. Barbershops, Men's Warehouse, Sporting Good stores, pet shops, etc. Sometimes the stores will have a little area for local business cards and ads. So just be creative!!

Thanks for the ideas, Beth! I think mostly women read my blog, and older men who are grandfathers. Strange market, huh?

Anyway, I got the post back up. Don't know HOW I deleted it. Took me forever to write that thing. Thank God I had a backup!

That's a GREAT idea (can I borrow it?)! I love "so just buck it up and do this for her." Do you have an established package this falls under or did you create one just for this promo?

Here's the wording from the promo in my info packet:

Mother’s Day Special
Dads, arrange for a mini photo session with you and your kids while mom has a day off, THEN present her with a beautiful framed photo AND gift certificate for a full family session. You will be KING DAD!

Mother’s day special (must be prepaid and mini session scheduled before April 30) $350
Includes one mini photo session for dad and children and a full family session after Mother’s Day, plus:
* Online proofing gallery and photo color correction and retouching following each session.
* One 5x7 photo of dad and children, presented in a beautiful desk frame. The gift certificate will be
customized with your wording along with another photo from your mini session, presented in a reusable
matching frame, boxed and gift wrapped in time for Mother’s Day.
* A complimentary photo book including photos from both sessions, custom-designed by Julie.
* $50 print credit to be applied toward either the mini session or the full family session for extra gifts for
the moms and grandmoms in your life.

Oh, and yes, certainly you may borrow it! camera.gif

Great offering! All guys (with any sense) should consider this! Are you only blog advertising this special, or do you have means to "get the word out"?

Well, pretty much all my "advertising" is blog based. I rarely get much response from that, but usually "not much" is about all I can handle anyway.

I could send out an email message to some local list, but I know I never read stuff like that. I guess I'm just thinking the promo will be noticed by my women readers, who will tell the men folk. Probably wishful thinking. But DARNIT, it's a good idea! Come ON, men! Get with the program! (I was SO thrilled when my husband had pictures made of him and my son for mother's day. That was THE SWEETEST gift he could have ever gotten me so I just wanted to plant the notion in some other dad's heads, and make some other moms as happy as that gift made me TEN YEARS AGO. See? I STILL remember, and I STILL display the pictures at work, and at home on my piano, on my bedside table and in my wallet.)

That is a great promo. Your wording is easy to understand too.
