My wife and I met with a couple on Wednesday night and the bride called me the next day to say that they were going to hire us. It was our first booked wedding, not including weddings we have done for friends. It was very exciting, and definitely adds a bit of legitimacy to our beginning business. I was wondering what people do immediately after they book a couple. Do you send a thank you note or a gift certificate, I have heard some people do gift baskets. I have really enjoyed my time on OSP and have learned so much already. Thanks.

Congrats! I have never done a whole lot after a wedding booking besides a thank you email. I may change that in the future thanks to some great ideas that I've seen here.

Congrats! That's awesome!
Generally I fire off a thank you email and let them know how excited i am to work with them on their wedding day.

I usually send a thank you email, but I might change that. Maybe I will send thank you notes. I just feel that an email is much faster, but a note by mail is more personal.
By the way, congrats!!!

I am the same as most, I send out a thank you e-mail. I do think I will start doing something more personal though. Like sending out a thank you card or something of the sort.

Congratulations!!!! That is so exciting. We shot our first photography (we were doing video) wedding almost exactly a year ago and it is so amazing to see how far we have come. Best Wishes to you all.
