Doh! And I knew that. Oh, well... good thing it's a free video--no recalls required.

I'm back from Mex (http://www.kevinswan.com/clients/brewer), and we did have fun!

Thanks for posting that. I've always been afraid to clean my sensors, but you make it look easy.

Great video, thanks! I have not cleaned a sensor, but have a big glob of junk on my sensor from our Savannah trip a couple of weeks ago. I was just fixing to bug Liana at the PUG tomorrow to give me some pointers on how to do this.

I've been using that method too on my 5D, but I'm a little concerned,
this thread on the flickr strobist group, one guy is having major problems. It appears that part of the sensor got damaged
anyone else with w 5D having issues?

Thanks Kevin!
Nice to see a "real-world" example (and video to boot) about how to do it!
I haven't tackled it...yet. I am sure that will have to be done in the near future!

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for the show! The whole time I was watching it I was thinking to myself "man this looks like Isla Mujeres". Then voila, the image with the shakers gives it all away. Simply beautiful set! The couple must have had a blast. Was it the Avalon that they were staying at? I think that was the name of the hotel.
Good info on the sensor cleaning vid too.

Cheers,
Kenneth + Elaine

Great video!
I have a the copperhill cleaning method that uses the same kind of pec pads and liquid. Just a different "spatula". Anyway, My 5D is a dust magnet. I have only had it since December but it has one stubbor speck on there. I tried to clean it a couple of weeks but it would not come off. I am wondering if it is on the mirror it self. I am going to take another stab at cleaning it.
I am wondering if I bring my camera to Vegas for the wppi, if there is a shop there that can clean it. Does anyone know?

Note that for the test shot, you can shoot a blank white wall or a sheet of letter paper, handheld. Even if you move the camera all over the place, the specks do not show up blurred because they are stuck onto the antialiasing filter over the sensor, and thus don't move relative to the sensor.
Great video, Kevin! Makes it look too easy

I put a note in the video that I was an idiot about the test shot (shooting snow). You definitely want to shoot a white wall... just wasn't thinking.
The hotel on Isla Mujeres was the one that's on that little islet, connected by that tiny bridge. The name escapes me right now...
