So this past weekend we shot our first Coloraod wedding in Colorado Springs! It was SO much fun, despite the cold weather! smile.gif

One of the highlights of the trip was getting to meet up with Jenna Walker and James Christianson, two terrific Colorado photographers. We met up with them for dinner on Friday night and had such an awesome time talking about all three of our businesses. For those of you out in the area you should be sure to check out their fstopworkshop which takes place in late April. Both James and Jenna are SUPER talented and have so much to offer! Check it out! smile.gif

Here are a few of the images from this past weekend. Check out more On our blog

Yep!

All available light. We JUST bought a new 5D last week and it came in SUPER handy. Shove Chapel, where the ceremony was, was probably one of the darkest churches I've ever shot in and we did it all with available light. ISO 1600 and even 3200 on occasion were no problem with the 5D. I was really impressed.

I absolutely love the low light performance of the 5D, im sure you will find yourself using it more and more biggrin.gif Great work as always Chris.

Rub it in...way to make those of us who want a 5D to drool even more! smile.gif I'm hoping 2008 is the year that I go FF sensor!

Awesome images! I can't wait to have the equipment that can handle doing more available light work. So many toys...so little money. mad.gif

Gorgeous Chris! Love #2, 3, 4, and 7! I knew you would fall in love with the 5D after the other thread, glad you took the plunge! Opens up a new world. Which lenses did you find yourself using on this wedding since it was all available light?

Hey Mike! smile.gif

Yeah yeah yeah.... so the 5D rocks. smile.gif It's kinda funny because before I bought one I really just didn't understand what all the fuss was about....but DANG that camera is super sharp and the ISO noise is unreal. Seriously, ISO 1600 is like what ISO 400 was on my old 10D. I NEVER shoot at 1600 on my 20D or Mark II N and 1600 is seriously no big deal at all with the 5D. I was very impressed.

I shot a lot with my 50 f1.4 and my 85 f1.8. The church was so dark that at the end of there ceremony when they were coming back up the aisle I was at ISO 3200 at 1/100th @ f2.8 and I was still super under exposed! During the ceremony I had to use my 70-200 just cause I was too far back from the action to use anything shorter. Thank God for IS! smile.gif
