Hi all. I have to get a new copy of Photoshop and am wondering if anyone knows a good place to get it for the least amount of money? I don't want some bootlegged copy off ebay, but would like to know if there are any legitimate places to get it for less.

Thanks!

I bought a legitimate, registerable early copy (v5.5) on eBay for about $40, then the upgrade for $149. So my total price was $189!

What if you have kids? Is there a secret discount for parents? (I have 2 wonderful kids). I plan to purchase CS3 when it is released.

Wow! I knew about the educational discount but I also thought it was only for the college level.

So I guess there will be a positive to my first little one going to school next year.

Thanks! I love to save money!

Corey, thanks! I have a student version of Photoshop 7, actually the whole suite, so if I'm understanding this correctly I just need to purchase the newest suite's upgrade version and just install?

Thanks!

I don't know if theres an upgrade per say for the whole suite, but its purchaseable for like $349 instead of 1200+. Maybe there is but I haven't seen it. FYI cs3 comes out March 27. When the EDU version is available is anyones guess.

Photoshop CS3 will only be upgreableable from cs or higher.
