After much ridicule from my wife who claims that I am a stalker for recognizing Gary's fiancé Melissa while in the Bass Pro Shop store in the Opry Mills Mall....I actually spotted Mr. Fong himself. I learned a couple of things from this Nashville, TN experience...

1. Gary Fong is a nice guy who didn't mind me interrupting his shopping at all
2. Camera phones make my forehead look freakishly huge
3. I almost always come across as a moron when talking to famous people.

Actually, it's great for fishing. Here's what I do. Attach it to your flash, and place both in a waterproof bag. Take out as much air as possible, and seal the bag. Attach a strong fishing line to the bag, and lower it in the water about 5 to 8 feet. As the fish approach to figure out what this thing is, use your wireless to set off the flash. The fish will be blinded for a few seconds. Use a long handled net, and you have dinner!

From what I gathered talking to him they were just killing time before their flight left to go home....but I guess if The Bass Pro Shops start carrying Lightspheres....we'll know where it all started.

You made his blog!!! Whoo-Hoo!! I stood in that exact same spot in August taking pictures of my children during a meet up with my sister and her family. That is such a great store. I can't believe you met Gary Fong there!!! How exciting!!!
