Does anyone use lightscribe on their DVD's or CD's? Or what about Telex Printwise machines? Where your cd's have colored images imbedded in them.

click telex printer to see what I'm talking about. I'm thinking about getting one of these for the digital negatives.

I've heard of that and it sounds pretty cool! Some Sony (I think) machines are coming with those burners built in!

I know that Lightscribe are in computers now but they are only in BW. all i know so far is that for Telex stuff you have to buy cd's that are inkjet printer enabled for Telex machines. That would be such a sweet thing to have (telex printwise). Instead of buying labels or just have bw lightscribed to them.

My clients and I love Lightscribe, and I loved spending only $100 vs. $1300!

hey brian..i agree with the money aspect...

do you think they'll do color lightscribe soon?
Billy
I get printable CDs and just shoot them directly through my Epson R300. I don't fill photo orders out of this printer, but it's quality is pretty good and the Printable CD attachment works pretty well, too.

I also just saw this thing from Casio that prints text directly on CDs. I'm not sure it's a great option for final stuff from phtogs, but I could see it's uses in my office for all my backup stuff. It's a little neater than my sharpie. smile.gif

The Lightscribe looks cool... does anyone know of something similar I could attach to my Powerbook?

Billy-

LaCie makes some of the best external devices around, including a double layer dvd writer that laser etches into the media.

check out ecost.com for some good prices and lacie.com for decent info!

let me know what you find out.
