I got my hubby to add a little plugin to my blog.
I told him I wanted a little player on my sidebar to play a few songs.
He went and found a WordPress plugin that works pretty well.

I uploaded a few MP3's to a folder on my webspace then added them to the track list in the plugin.

I know, I know! It's not RF!!! I put the artist name & track name on there; there's a way to link to the artist's webpage, too, but I can't get it to work. In short, I'm trying to just put up a fun little thing to show my blog visitors what kind of music I'm listening to. I'm working on getting those artist links to work, too, which will help get the musicians the credit they deserve.

I'm also trying to tweak it so that it doesn't play right away when you go to the page. I want it to show the playlist but not play the 1st song until you hit the PLAY button... still working on that!

Like most free plugins, it's a lot of tweaking & trial & error!

PS: I've heard that there are little plugins that will read what's playing on my iTunes RIGHT NOW and put that up in the plugin on my blog. I thougth that would be fun! But I can't find any that worked well so far.... it's going on the bottom of the to-do list I suppose....

any possibility it'll work with blogs other than Wordpress?? I have my own blog on my web server. And I've been looking for something exactly like this!

I don't know if this particular one would work, because this one has an interface built-in so that I can manage the playlist inside my WP dashboard.

I know there are flash objects that do this -- a little mini jukebox that plays songs you put in a certain folder. I've seen them around, and some of them are a lot like the BluDomain little flash players that you see on BD sites that have 1,2,or3 music tracks. I was googling looking around for them... didn't look into any in particular, tho, cuz we found the WP one.
