Matt
i just wanted to share with everyone a few of the shots from today... it was an extremely bright and sunny day... so i had to stay real careful with the sun and i mostly lit everything with off camera flash.

there are more on my blog!

Great shots. The balance of fill and ambient is perfect.

Its so soft and the catchlight is to large to be straight on. Umbrella? Please share your lighting on this.

thanks man for the compliments... i was using a 580 wirelessly with the st-e2 so i could maintain the use of ettl.

i diffused the light with a shoot thru umbrella and most of the time kept the bride with her back to the sun and the light to camera left around 45 degrees. then make minor adjustments for more dramatic effects.

i am just starting to get the hang of the fill... i mainly like to natural light... but most of the times these locations are restricted to certain times and they are usually during the bad times of the day so i have been forced to learn how to deal with terrible light. the exif is still embedded in the images so you can extract that and see the settings for all the shots.

thanks again for the compliments.
