Hi all!

Check out my last wedding I shot on 2/24/7. Honestly I am not very happy with it, may be becouse I shot there so many times and out of creative ideas :-( Hate to repeat myself over and over.

Hello, Gulnara. I'm not sure why you would not be happy with this wedding. I think you covered it quite well! The detail shots are really nice. You captured some beautiful moments, and the reception coverage shows the great fun of the event. Lots of expressiveness!

It does appear that the lighting, especially early on (bride's prep) was very challenging. Even the ceremony looks like it was difficult. You did well despite the challenges!

I also notced that your couple may have been the kind who always want to look at the camera. Some of your images of the couple alone might have been more beautiful and romantic if they weren't looking at the camera. I get couples like that, too ... always aware of the camera and wanting to look at me.

You've got some really lovely shots in that collection!

ditto Candy.

I like how you lit the ceremony, I think you did a great job. you are probably just feeling the "been there done that, like a freggin' 1000 times" syndome.

OMG! I didn't know there is a scientific explanation to that! Wouldn't you feel comfy in places you already shot 1000 times? I am shooting a wedding tomorrow in places I never shot, that is exiting!! But the bride still wants to go to the Central Park :-(
I looked at the slideshow again and feel much better. I did the best I could.

No worries, G. I think this slideshow is great. I love the lighting during the ceremony.

Gulnara,

I think you did a great job of capturing their day. The couple just wanted to stare at the camera too much even during the ceremony. I just had a bride that wanted to do that and I kept having to take the shot and then do the real shot when she wasn't staring at me. Finally, during the reception she forgot I was there.

What lens are you shooting the getting ready with? I was thinking you would have better lighting and less depth of field with a 50 1.8. Black and whites of some of those shots might look better too.

Hi Regina, thanks!!
Yes, the bride was always aware of me even during the cake she posed her hands and made sure I got it.
I shot the getting ready with 16-35 2.8. That room was really small with one bolb overhead. I have 50 1.4 and should start using it more often.
