Well it's official........I have priced myself out of my local market. Truth be told I have for some time now.
In my town most people book based on price or proofs. There are lots of new part-time folks with Digital Rebels that shoot for $500-$995 and their clients get all their proofs. This just isn't me.
Luckily I am within an hour drive of two larger markets. How would, or do, you go about marketing and attracting brides from these areas? I do book about 30 weddings per year in two surrounding towns but I want to bump up my prices and carry more premium albums like Leather Craftsmen or the like. Right now I am between $2700 - $5800 with one whopper package at $9000 to make the others seem like a bargain.
I am in the process of changing my website. Other than that and bridal shows, what would you suggest? I tend to think normally the bridal magazines are a waste of money. Word of mouth....I know, but how about getting started in these areas? Thanks.
