A little about me: My name is Emily, I'm 23 years old and I live in Pasadena, California. I will be graduating from college in June with a bachelor's degree in journalism, marrying my wonderful fiancé in September and moving to Portland in November. 2007 looks to be a busy year for me!
After taking a few college photography courses, I realized how much I love this art. Unfortunately, I discovered my passion a bit too late in terms of changing my major (without practically starting over).

) in your introduction post, but I'll give it a try.I'm incredibly enthusiastic about entering the field. My interest lies in wedding and portrait mostly, but I find other areas fascinating as well. I have little hands-on experience, however: I've taken a few classes and will be a photojournalist for my school newspaper next quarter (my last!) but with such little experience, how would I go about landing my first internship?
Would anyone in the Los Angeles area be willing to take me on and teach me all you know for no pay this summer? I have experience as a general assistant, and I know both PC/Mac well.
