This past Saturday I photographed my latest engagement. The couple is a Christian couple that found us by word of mouth.

They are a very sweet couple & although I tried to have them interact, I was limited by what I could ask them to do.

I'll be posting some images shortly & I appreciate everyones comments. wink.gif

...does this mean they wouldn't kiss? That's cool if they're holding out...crazy hard...but cool.

Great pics! I liked the first one and the second from the last the best! ...although the couple doesn't look young they seem a bit unsure of themselves. Did you feel this while you were shooting with them?

Yup, I was trying to have them ease up, but it was no use. After the shoot he shared that his parent(s) were not pleased with his marraige plans (not sure which parent.) His dad is the minister that will be marrying them in a couple of weeks.

Not really sure what was going on, but I'm pretty sure that is what was eating at them both, it shows in the images. I tried though.

Yea! I think you did a great job and that's a bummer about the parents... dry.gif

Thanks DJ I just think it's sad when a young couple such as these two don't have the full support of their parents. I think he said he was 22yrs & she's the same age. They are strong Christians though & I'm more then sure the Lord will sort it all out. wink.gif

Yea. I shot a wedding in Chicago last year and another one in Florida where one set of parents didn't even come to the wedding b/c they didn't support it. I didn't shoot many family shots for those events but my heart broke for the couples.
Carlos Hernandez
Yeah, that is a shame. That is so sad, I did a wedding at our church a few years back where neither the mom nor the dad of the bride showed up. DJ, one of the elders in our church who was close to the couple walked her down the isle, how sad is that. Uhhhhh! I tell you some parents, man they really know how to destroy their own kids. Their own flesh & blood.

Carlos, love the shot of them sitting on the park bench!!!! The composition and light are great!!!

How long has this couple known you? Do you think they felt comfortable with you?

Nice work Carlos. I like the bench shot and the 2nd to last with the street in the background. I would tone down the headlight on the bus though.

Great lighting and color. She seemed more into it than he was.

Great shots Carlos. I like all of them - good compositions! Too bad for the couple's situation though, it does kinda show through their expressions, makes me yearn to see them happy.

Maybe it was a combination being in front of a camera & other issues, I don't think he felt 100% confident due to how his parent(s) felt about them getting married. Not sure though.

Thanks for everyones input. wink.gif
