Hello all,
I wanted to see how many of you use Gary's Light sphere 2.
I just bought one. I'm stoked about seeing the results.

Gotta love Gary! biggrin.gif

That's awesome.

DJ...if he's charging 120,000 you need to raise your prices. smile.gif

by the way....I don't use the Lightsphere II, but was looking at it. It's pretty cheap. Let us know how you like it. I might grab it....I know Dane uses it. Maybe he'll give us a review of it (along side yours...)

i have it and i like it for certain situations. the only downside is that it looks goofy and it makes your flash kind of top heavy.

I have one too...It does seems to soften the light quite a bit...but like Brian says, it looks really goofy...Like a tiolet plunger on your flash...But, hey, I'm not in this to look good, so if it get's the shot I need, I'll use it...

Chris you are more than welcome to try mine out if you'd like...

it can also double as a cereal bowl in a pinch wink.gif

Someone asked me if it was a drink holder? Hmmm, I thought, yeah, I love just carrying a cold beverage on top of my flash??? LOL!

Like a tiolet plunger on your flash...

LMAO... That is a riot.. Wonderful at least I know I can fix a toilet or eat cereal at any given time at a shoot.
I'll just hook some tubing to my case and tell people its a beer bong.

Speaking of un sightly photographic items..
While I was doing the wedding in Jefferson City there were a couple of photographers shooting some prom pics I think.
Well they had like a 3 foot pole on top of their cameras. And at the end was a flash.. It looked like a periscope. I havent ever seen anything like that before.
All I could think after reading MJ's post is OMG.. What if they had the sphere.. It would look like a true tiolet plunger.

Big smiles

I have one & use it often, I find it a whole lot better then straight on flash. I would recommend it to anyone. cool.gif

Yeah, it makes my flash top heavy as well & looks very awkward, but you know it does the job a whole lot better then a stofen. I've had people at weddings make comments about it's size.

It's looks don't bother me at all because it is giving me results that bring in the $$$$$$$ Cha-Ching & in the end that is all that matters. wink.gif

Linda...I just figured out what LMAO means ...and I am too! smile.gif That is so classic...the visuals are just histerical! But, regardless, it does produce a nice effect, once you get over the aesthetics.

And, very funny, DJ, but I'll have you know I did have to take a class on it at Brooks...LookingGood101...
