Well,
I am hoping for insight at least from OSP coming to you with all my newbie question.
I got the umbrella bracket and set it up to attach to the ultra cool avenger light stand Zack suggested. I got the flash mounted on the umbrella bracket. It looks like attaching the umbrella to the bracket will be a snap.
The bracket will allow me to swivel on the horizontal plane 360 degrees but nothing on the vertical plane. Does this bracket
shown here in Zack's comments
do that? I'd really like to be able to have the ability to angle the flash down towards a subject.
The only thing I can't figure out is the handle grip that I push down into the center of to lift. Not sure what that does...
My bad for being such a noob at this.

Thanks again for the help in advance. thumbsup.gif

Yun,
I got the same bracket and stand and umbrella that Zack recommended too.

I got mine to angle down (and up) with a little elbow grease. It's tight on purpose I guess.

Jules thanks for the information!
haha ok so it's just my wimpiness then. Man, I can't get it to move at all! Is that what that handle bar is for then? To grip it and twist? The other side of it has this huge hexagon bolt which looks like it completely locks in. tongue.gif

Grip and twist. I just got the same bracket. cool little feature of this bracket is this, if you pull on that handle bar straight out away from the bracket, so i guess perpendicular to it, the handle will pop up and you will be able to rotate it so that you can get better torque on it. Something to help.
