I'm looking for a small, 10-page book which guests can write in at the reception.
I know they exsist, I just don't know which ones work out well.

Any tips??

Thanks guys!!
Lynn Squier
We use TAP Brighton Albums from Albums Inc.

I know a lot of people use Asuka Books.

Thanks, Lynn! I use Asuka as well, and love them. I suppose in my mind's eye, I'm thinkin matte pages.

i think illuma offers a matte option, and actual journal pages? pretty sure the antinino's use them . . .

Yeah, Illuma from Apollo Imagizing has albums specifically for that purpose, with pages you can write on.

So can you write on the Asuka Books easily? Is a certain pen required?

I use Vision Art 6x6 or 8x8 albums. They are little bit higher end, printed on matte paper and come out so beautifully. My clients rave about them so much. The minimum number of pages is 30 or 15 flat spreads.

That's a new one to me, so I tried to create an account there. It told me the promo code is invalid. I don't have a promo code, do you? Is there whole website that lame, or just the reg page? (sorry if that sounds harsh, I'm just spoiled by vendors with great web services...)

A buddy of mine did a test and you can write on the LC 3500 series with a fine point sharpie. That's what I'm going to be using. 6x9 one image every other page. I think it will look far superior to the Asuka I've used in the past.

Yeah, no promo code isn't allowing me in either.

Does anyone find it weird that there doesn't seem to be a single photo of their products on their website?? At least none that I could find... sad.gif

I've been using Asukabook for a while now on my guestbooks. Using a sharpie and having an attendant at the book seem to work well even on the glossy pages.

I just got an email from someone at Photostream re:their books and the promo code.

Basically, you can't register online (the website should just SAY that, yeah?) They want to call and talk to me about it....and then they'll set me up...

I use the 8x8 Maxima Ambiance from Albums, Inc. 10 pages (20 sides) and I use different combinations of mats, and guests sign around the images with silver pens on the black mats. I love the LC 3500, but I'm not sure how I would convince a client to pay $600-900 for a guest book smile.gif But that would rock if they would!

Here is an image of the ambiance album:

Perhaps the new WHCC press-printed books will be something to look into! (See the "Digital Printing" section)

They look very promising and turnaround time is just 1-2 days + free 2nd day shipping. I have a client for which I have to make a signature book in last week before a wedding. I really hope it can work out with WHCC. I already told the bride that it will be imposible to get them a book, but I didn't know about WHCC books at that time. Now I want to surprise them.
