Hello everyone. I apologize that my first post was not an introduction but rather an expose on Brooklyn/NJ storefront camera shops. I just felt compelled to act fast before someone was victimized by an illegitimate business...

Anyway, here's my introduction:

I'm Damon, an assistant to my wife (read: Boss) Agnes Lopez. She's a full-time photographer and I'm a full-time 8-5er, working in the Information Technology field during regular business hours.

In the evenings and during little mini-breaks at the office I peruse photography information sites, research cameras and equipment, and generally do the tech thing. It is my contribution to the wife's business.

Though I did spend some time in the UF College of Journalism, sneaking through John Freeman's Photojournalism class with a less-than-stellar grade, I wouldn't dare call myself a photographer. Agnes is the photographer and I am the sherpa. I am the tech support/file server-builder-guy, etc.

I'm in Jacksonville, Florida. I like watching Kung Fu movies, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Extras, and traveling to places where the locals don't speak English. I also like taking pictures of things that don't move (from a tripod).

damon noisette. ha ha. you've got to be kidding me. this is mac mitchell, zach's younger brother. we were at stanton together. i'm pretty sure i was a nerdy freshmen your senior year. i was friends with your sister.

all i really remember from high school is that you were crazy proud of your website...which was centered around hip hop something or other. i think.

anyway...good to see you're in jacksonville. that makes two of us. also great to see you're into photography. welcome to the boards man.

Mac Mitchell! I knew it! I bumped into your older brother at La Nopalera in November.

And yeah, Jacksonville is like a big magnet for us Stanton grads. Please note that while I am involved in photography it is only in an auxillary role. If you ever want to talk about CCD vs CMOS, RAID vs JBOD, Mac vs PC, techy-acronym vs techy-achronym's inverse, that's more my speed.

The wife is the real photographer...

I checked out your site and I really like your work. Is photography your full time gig? I hope it is... It's refreshing to see someone from Stanton who isn't a lawyer (like my sister and best friend).

Hey Damon!!! I'm in Jacksonville too! I've actually been to your house! A few years ago I was at the baby shower Agnes threw for our mutual friend Anetta. That was only time I met Agnes, but I remember what a sweetheart she was.

And small world... I also graduated from UF's College of Journalism. What year did you graduate? I was '03. I didn't have Professor Freeman, but like you, I also didn't do so hot in my photojournalism class. Trying to learn on film was rough. Thank goodness for digital! Funny how despite that, we both ended up in the profession! ha!
